BYD Sales Up 58% — CHARTS

BYD’s March, and thus Q1, sales numbers are in. Overall, in the 1st quarter, BYD passenger plugin vehicle sales rose 57.9%. Its pure BEV passenger vehicle sales rose 38.7% year over year, while its plugin hybrid sales rose 75.7%.

In volume terms, PV sales were up by 361,690 units, BEV sales were up by 116,274 units, and plugin hybrid sales were up by 245,426 units. That’s quite powerful, exciting growth.

Just looking at March, passenger vehicle (PV) sales were up 23.1%, BEV sales were up 18.7%, and plugin hybrid sales were up 26.9%.

In volume terms, PV sales were up by 69,788 units, BEV sales were up by 26,207 units, and plugin hybrid sales were up by 43,581 units.
